As a prolific netcitizen you have produced the next big hit video that is set to
go viral on YouTube.  In this tutorial I will show you how to use your video to promote yourself.  I will walk you through the whole process. Crab a bagel and lets get going!

What you need to have:  Adobe Photoshop, QuickTime Pro

Photoshop Watermark Madness
1. Open the file you want to use to watermark your video: watermark.psd
002-watermark
2. Create a new Photoshop image using the same dimensions as your video.
For my video tutorials I usually use  640 x 480 pixels, but since this video if for YouTube we are going to use the YouTube default setting of 320 x 240 pixels.  So I create a the new Photoshop image that is 320 x 240 pixels. You want to get a feel for how big or small you want to make your logo so that it looks proportional in the final video.

3. Copy and paste your watermark image –watermark.psd into the new video mockup image  you made above

4. Resize the watermark image as needed so that it looks proportional to your video

5. Crop the watermark image and save it as a transparent gif:
File > Save for Web

6. Name it watermark.gif

Now we can close Photoshop and move on the QuickTime part of our YouTube Watermarking fun.

8. Select the image : Edit > Select All

9. Copy the image: Edit > Copy

By default the watermark will be displayed in the top right corner.
I wanted my watermark in the bottom left.  See screenshot below

13. By default the watermark will be displayed in the top right corner. I wanted mine to be displayed in the bottom left. In order to move the watermark we have have edit the movie properties: Windows > Show Movie Properties

14. Now we can change the offset & the transparency level of the watermark so that it blends in with the movie.

The logo should now be displayed when you play the movie in QuickTime.
15. Now we can export the movie that included our new watermark :
